2346-03 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker (Level 3 NVQ)

This qualification is designed solely for those experienced persons who are, or have been, working in the Electrotechnical industry, practising as an Electrician, for a minimum of 5 years and who can demonstrate their technical knowledge, performance and competence to the industry standards at Level 3, in one of the occupations of this qualification and in line with the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

There is a mandatory minimum Level 2 qualification entry requirement for delegates to complete this qualification, to ensure an appropriate understanding of electrical theory and the required scientific principles.

For those individuals who do not meet the combined learner entry requirements to directly undertake the Experienced Worker qualification, there is now an Underpinning Knowledge and Understanding Entry Test which you can undertake as an additional step to qualify.

2347-03 ELECTROTECHNICAL IN DWELLINGS EXPERIENCED WORKER (Level 3 Nvq)

This qualification covers the knowledge, skills and competency required by an Electrician in domestic dwellings.  Delegates must have a minimum of three years’ industry experience practising as an electrician and industry recognised Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) or equivalent and who can demonstrate their technical knowledge, performance and competence to the industry standards.

ELECTRICAL UNDERPINNING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TEST

This test is for eligible candidates to provide evidence that they possess sufficient underpinning technical knowledge to gain entry onto the Experienced Worker Qualifications.  This test is for experienced professionals who typically have at least 10 years’ experience working as an electrician (excluding any time spent in training) but do not yet hold a Level 2 or Level 3 electrical qualification.

This is not a short cut into the EWA – these tests are a Level 3 equivalent.  It is not suitable for those who do not have significant experience.

2365-03 level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures)

For candidates who want to become electricians within the building services engineering sector. This qualification does not make candidates fully qualified electricians; however, it is a key requirement to achieving qualified electrician status.   The delegate should have already successfully completed the Level 2 Diploma 2365 and we will require evidence of this.

Any delegate yet to achieve the theory units (202, 203, 210) of Level 2 successfully, will be reviewed on application, with a view to achieving these outstanding units.  Candidates without a Level 2 and who have been working as a practicing electrician for 3+ years, can register following successful completion of an online Technical Knowledge Assessment.
