2365-03 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures)

Who is the qualification for?
For candidates who want to become electricians within the building services engineering sector. This qualification does not make candidates fully qualified electricians; however, it is a key requirement to achieving qualified electrician status.

Entry requirements:
The delegate should have already successfully completed the Level 2 Diploma 2365.

Any delegate yet to achieve the theory units (202, 203, 210) of Level 2 successfully, will be reviewed on application, with a view to achieving these outstanding units.

Achieving this qualification:
Completion of this qualification is expected in approximately 32 weeks of blended learning (classroom, online and individual study hours) and is provided on a modular delivery basis.  Full calendar dates for classroom learning will be provided.  Learners will be expected to update themselves on content from any weeks of missed classroom learning.

Cost:
The cost is £2600 + VAT = £3120, which can be paid in instalments if required. We would ask for a £520 inc. VAT deposit upon registration, with five subsequent payments of £520 each month.

Additional Learning Requirements:
A Bridging unit and/or Health and Safety unit may be required to be completed prior to achieving this 2365-03 Diploma in full.  Candidates required to undertake either or both of these additional units, will be dependent on previous qualifications gained.  Having to undertake these additional units will incur further costs.

Required Publications:
Delegates will require current copies of the latest IET Wiring Regulations, Guidance Note 3 and On-Site Guide, along with the City & Guilds Textbook: Book 2 Electrical Installations (2nd edition), which you purchase from us.  Please view our Publications page for further details and to purchase publications.

What opportunities for progression are there?
It allows candidates to progress into employment, although not as a fully qualified electrician; or onto the following City & Guilds qualifications:

  • • Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services
    • Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
    • Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
    • Level 3 Award (2346) Electrotechnical Experienced Worker, providing 5-year experience requirement can be met.
