2921-31 Design & Installation of Domestic & Small Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging Installations

£428.00

Course Information:
This two-day course aims to provide expert guidance to learners wishing to gain knowledge and understanding on the design and installation of Electric Vehicle charging equipment and is for qualified electricians only*.  The qualification includes additional methods of protecting against open PEN conductor faults and how to assess if an installation has an issue with diverted neutral current.  It also includes smart functions in EVSE and relevant items within the installation as a whole, as well as integration into prosumer’s electrical installations including the option of electric vehicles reverse feeding into the installation and/or supply grid.

This is a fully accredited OZEV recognised qualification.

Required Publications:
It also identifies the requirements of BS 7671 section 722, providing an insight into the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation (5th edition) (updated 18.09.23) which we can supply at £87.  You will also need copies of the IET Wiring Regulations and IET On-Site Guide, which we can supply at £99 and £35 respectively.

Please Note: Part of the course will require you to be able to perform some cable calculations without the use of software, so if your knowledge of Basic Cable Calculations is a little out of date, we highly recommend that you attend the one-day course covering this.  This is a one-day CPD certified course and gives CPD members seven hours of verifiable activity.

City & Guilds Learner Entry Requirements:
As this course is intended for practising qualified electricians, as part of the assessment for this qualification, learners MUST hold one of the following qualifications gained within the last five years, or there must be evidence that the candidate has remained current by completing relevant CPD such as a City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent:
