Course Information:
Covering the full content of BS 5839-1:2017, Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings, this EAL course is intended for those who are working in the fire-sector of the electrical industry and wish to update or refresh their understanding of this essential BSI publication. It may also be useful to electricians to gain an understanding of the standard.
Part 1 covers the Code of Practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems in non-domestic premises.
Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements, however delegates must have the potential to achieve this qualification.
Candidates are required to have a copy of BS 5839-1:2017 for this course which they will be able to highlight and mark-up during the course and for ease navigating through during the online exam. Candidates who are unable to obtain their own copy, will be able to use one of the office copies, but they will not be able to highlight or mark-up.
How is this qualification assessed?
The learner will be assessed against this qualification by one 50 question on-screen multiple-choice exam. This qualification is graded pass or fail only.
